2014
The year God showed me that He could do anything.
Anything.
It had its miracles and surprises.
I experienced moments of complete amazement, moments that left me in awe of my matchless God.
2014
It also had its heartaches, its lessons, and struggles. Some of those so keenly felt that I had to force myself to simply do the "next right thing."
But it wasn't until last night that I realized that throughout 2014, God had faithfully poured out His grace,
wave after wave.
Just as the waves, unable to be counted, continuously lap against the shore, I received thousands of undeserved gifts in 2014. Looking back, feeling as if I've stumbled into the new year, I must allow those waves of grace to wash over me. I must recognize the goodness of God.
I hunger for a do-over, a fresh start, a new beginning. Characteristic of God, it is provided.
Here.
Today.
This time that I'm given in 2015 is one giant wave of grace: an undeserved gift.
It is such for all of us with breath in our lungs this year.
I receive It.
What will I do with it? What will you do with it?
I want to serve the One who gave it to me.
God is the giver of grace and every good gift.
You may feel as I do, that you've stumbled into the new year, but we've stumbled into the grace of God.
2015
It's a good place to be.
(2 Corinthians 12:9) "My grace is sufficient for you" - says the Master of the waves
